Thanks for the reply and advice.
Well, today is another disappointment. Wind up the watch to 30 times before wearing. Timing keeping is okay while on wrist. Worn for the whole Sat.
Woke up this morning only to find out time was 2 hours behind.

Got to bring down to THG for time-testing and check. Only 2 days of actual wrist time and problem like this really annoying and unexpected.

I have no idea what grade is the movement used in most SINN divers... but if i'm not wrong, they're the ETA2824 breed.
The problem we have with most watch collectors, is that we have more than 5 automatic watches and we have very little time to keep them running without having to power 'em up by winding. Of course, such challenge can always be overcome by the use of watch winders. But will you use it?

I have 20 ETA2824 watches to date... there's no SINN divers, but most of them are 2824s, general grade.
One thing i had observed. When you have just bought a new watch, you'll find that you need to make less than 7 turns on the crown to get the seconds hand move from rest position. That's quite typical for fresh new movements. Then after some years of usage, especially when you wear a particular piece as daily beater, here where i believe in this section of the forum, many does... you will find that your power reserve seems to fall gradually from 40hrs, to 38hrs, to 36hrs to... hmm... maybe lesser than 30hrs when months, years passed. This will be the time to visit the watch doctor to get the movement clean up. As after years of daily beating, your movement's metal gears and parts will have dirts built up due to corrosions...

Its just so typical of Singaporean sales staff not wanting to go the extra mile for you cause there is no benefit to be gained. and brushing off the issue with the easiest possible method. Very disappointing service provided by singaporeans nowadays.

It's really good reading this thread. I have been looking for a Sinn U2 S and chanced upon this when I saw the thread title. Good to know more really but am also wondering about my intended purchase. Seems like there are folks with good and not so good opinion.... I was attracted by the sand blast finish when I saw a U2 at THG..... Kind of new to Sinn brand and am looking around for general opinion.

Back to a question for you folks : What's the market rate for a pre-owned Sinn U2 S now ? Range from 85% to LNIB condition ?

sinn u2 typically has a lower resale value compared to its smaller brother sinn u1
a used sinn u2 full set in mint condition is about sg$2k+

interested to find out what the cost is. coz THG refuse to give any quotation
