    Hi,

    Thanks feudallordcult for the welcome.

Thanks James for the reply. I decided to try and take the direct road by calling Sinn Hour Glass Service Centre. The lady told me that they have in-house people to do servicing for Sinn watches. Those with Argon gas will have to be sent to Germany for servicing.

Since 656 do not have Argon gas, I guess in future, I can have it serviced in Singapore.

    Thanks again.

Sinn had some interesting technology like argon filling, silicon oil etc. incorporated inside their watches. After some research, (correct me if I am wrong), the technology found in 656 I guess will be silicon oil and anti-magnetic. My concern is that when the watches requires servicing after a few years, is the Sinn service centre in Singapore equipped to service the watches? Or do the watches need to be sent back to Germany for servicing. I did some research on the net and I read that some watches need to be sent back to Germany. Would this be the case for 656 (I believe that the technology in 656 is minimal compared to other range as it is a basic range)?

    Thank you
it'll be sent back to germany...takes approxi 2 months...

    cheers

    Welcome aboard!

i'm not really well-versed with sinn timepieces even though i only hv a u1 but one thing's for sure: the tegimented pieces are good tool watches and definitely as tough as nails save for the AR coating on the sapphire glass.

when it comes to argon, silicon oil and all that jazz, i'm quite sure it can only be done in germany. good luck for your hunt and do share your joy with us when u have bought one.
