Just recently bought a vintage pilot from local AD, seem like the price is very slightly lower than getting in Germany after i make the conversion and factor in the GST/shipping/waiting time.
Free gift like travel watch pouch & extra nato strap too.

Love the pilot series for the style, movement, finish and most important PRICEs. Wonder when will they increase the price.
Some call it homage, but homage to what? I would call it an enhancement over the vintage design. The lug is better, the finish is better, the lume is better, even the leather is better.
Waiting for there next limited edition to be out.
Anyone want to sell there older version of limited edition can pm me, I am very interested.

No problem, photography on product is part of the fun. I try to collect all different dial, even thinking of getting the pink gold case but would like to look at the actual one before decide.
It will be nice to own a IWC but price and the complication of dial really hold me back.
There is a Aistrol or something like that selling in Gnomo shop which have a 42 or 40mm pilot, kind of vintage looking too.
Will post more when i have more time. Going out to shop for some strap.

If i'm not mistaken, the Steinhart GMT Ocean 1 uses C1 superluminova, hence its considerably weaker lume. The other Steinhart models that use C3 or BGW9 should be brighter. Nevertheless, congrats on getting a fine watch.

Seiko lume is superb, shine like a torch. Think Steinhart use only C1 lume which is ok. Hope there next model can consider C3 n made it longer lasting

There are other models in the Steinhart lineup that use C3 lume. Eg: Steinhart Ocean Vintage GMT.

Maybe the upcoming Ocean 2 models use C3 as well?
