Thought of a Ball Night Train, wats ur thoughts about it?

I think the night train is a nice daily beater. it has been mine since i got it. so far prove to be alright as the DLC is pretty tough, didn't see any obvious scratches or dents as compare to my other watches after wearing for a couple of months.

i second tht ( hmm... but not wearing today .. heehee ). me kinda rough type, fishing with it, kanna salt water etc, no dent or scratches so far. *bought mine in sep 07, almost every fishing trip, think last 6mths at least 50 times, offshore or local pond *

pricing is good ( less thn 1.5k after discount ), so far i have no problem with it, it's pretty accurate. ball's hydrocarbon with certain movement not so good; if i were to compare with omega spdmaster, noisy movement whn shake and mine cant keep up with NT. Comparing with sinn, hmmm this NT still feel more solid loh.

but hor, it's a 43mm, dunno if she find it too big or not

Hi Pet, sounds like a Night Train will be a good choice den.. She's currently wearing a Mont Blanc Star watch which is roughly 40mm.. so i thk will be an alright size..

Btw, where's a good place to get the night train?

if you have ask this question about 3 weeks ago. i would have told u to go to THG sales and get a sinn for less than 2k. however, if travel often can consider the sinn UTC 856.

856 strap can get less than 2k after discount. Can also consider 656 or 556 <1.5K after discount. Smaller at 38.5mm.

For Ball, another option could be Fireman 40mm or 32mm lady. I think close to 1K.

I think of all recommendations, SINN U1 and BALL Fireman NT probably the best and they should fit in to your budget

But isn't a SINN U1 in the regions of 2k and above?

if wrist too small. hard to carry off u1. reason is due to the thickness of watch. ball and sinn are better choice.

to TS, fortis quite hard to sell in 2nd hand market. u pay quite a 'high' price and resale value usually less than half when compared to first bought.
