if you paid about 4000 for the chopard mille miglia chrono GMT, then you should have gotten a deal.

besides for this price you, you get a watch with duo functions. only drawback about this watch is that the start, stop, reset buttons does not have a screw lock to prevent accidental pressing of the buttons

last yr when one of my buddy bought the Chopard MMCG, i have a quick glance on the Gran Turismo XL and try it on. Not bad i think, if the MMCG can be sold at price of $3900, 3K flat i surely on the saleman. but too bad it $200 in gap.....

the strap is unique. however, due to the tyre grooves, i find that it will trap dirt easily. hard to clean.

Not too much of a worry about that, unless you're wearing it for offroad rally. The chrono gmt comes with the same tyre thread, rubber strap (smaller). Being rubber, you can soap it, wash it, brush it etc. Instead, I'm being more careful after changing to the aftermarket leather strap.( trying not to sweat too much, or getting it wet or dirty.) hehe.

                  Anyone likes Chopard?

Just got this baby...just want to share my joy with you guys...i think there're less than 8 pieces now in SG..saw 2 at Tempus..THH and Cortina had 1 each recently. But i guess the novelty will fade when more shipments arrive in 2008 (although THH told me Chopard is controlling this piece)

Chopard's GTXL normally comes with black dial so i jumped at it when THH had 1 piece that recently delivered to them. Apparently, only year 2005 had white dial GTXL And thank goodness, i bought it just one day before Chopard increased their prices on 1 Dec.

Changed to a red strap and the feel of the watch came out to be totally refreshing (compared to the normal dunlop rubber strap). I call it now the "Alain Silberstein wannabe"...lol

                  cheers
