There is a watch shop at the basement of Pavilion (in KL) at the central axis of the shopping centre where they sell many brands including IWC. There is this sales manager, an Indian gentleman by the name of Gopi (....hope I remember correctly) who is extremely friendly and passionate on IWC. I spend at least an hour there but did not end up buying anything. I am sure will return someday to get that gorgeous white-faced Aquatimer. The discount and service is great....check it out yourself.

I guess it depends on whether you're a regular who has built up a relationship with the SA. I always press the SA for better discounts. I just got 30% off for my IWC. I paid cash though and I wasn't very happy, last year, i got 33%. I try and recommend all my friends to the same SA, and in that way, they get a relationship with him, and my cache with him increases, which hopefully translates into better discounts for the next purchase.

Yup hang on to those IWC watches...they gonna give less discount.

Looking at their movement..their portuguese watches are a bargain

went to Cortina Rafflescity juz now to check out the price of IWC Chrono (list price 11k).. was told by the SA tt discount is strictly 17% from the start of this mth.. if i went there earlier say, last mth, he can give up to 25%..
sighs.. there goes... the reduction in discount translates to a substantial amt.
even when i asked if i could get more discounts if i purchase 2watches, he's also firm abt the 17% discount..

I am selling new IWC watches all the time between 22-25% off

Jus joined this forum not too long ago and spent the past 30-odd minutes reading the posts in this thread with interest.

Just to add some of my personal experiences.

I was in KL back in Nov last year. The prices of watches there do seem to be slightly cheaper than SG. I remember asking about a VC Overseas model and was quoted a coupla hundred dollars cheaper than my usual watch shop in SG.

I also checked out the IWC shop at the Pavillion while i was in KL. If i recall correctly, they offer discount. And also they are not owned by Richemont ( if i remember correctly again). I had a long conversation with one of the sales man there. Very friendly crew.

Back to local shores...
i have made two IWC purchases in SG in the past 2 years ( two weeks ago and early last year). Both time, I managed to get between 28 and 29% discounts on my pilot chrono (leather) and Ingy Mission Earth. I do not think I was offered the best discounts by any means, cos honestly, i'm very bad at bargaining. I usually don't. I'm certain there are others who will scoff at me for getting such meagre discounts. But I reckon it's good enough at that point.

to the bro who was asking about the pilot chrono... Don't bother going all the way to KL to get it cos like abother bro said, you can get it in SG for just under 5k brand new. But I did not get it from THG.

Lastly I hope to learn from you guys as well as hope you guys will share whatever discounts you get with me. I will share them with you too if you think mine's good enuf.

Hope to make more friends here with you guys.

BTW, what's the difference between the IWC Portofino and Porteguese ranges?
