Look at MS when they built a flagship at SLS (Or was it Funan)? Immediately piracy was targetted in the same building and lots of control measures in place.

Could be the currency exchange rate thats why it's cheaper in KL... But I don't think the difference is that great...

My friend bought a IWC pilot chrono from KL at S$4950 after currency conversion. I am sure that is cheaper than here.

you can still get BNIB pilot chrono leather strap at 4900? THG? my 'bestest' price still higher than what you can get leh...

I like bracelet for pragmatic (perspiration) reasons. But the watch looks good on leather strap, more "orignal" look. Know what I mean? just imagine WWII pilot with his the pilot chrono on his wrist in leather strap and goes rat-tat-tat-tat-tat!!!

The pilots in bracelet at ADs ussually get a slightly higher discount as they move slower than those in strap. Was told that for IWC, the bracelet and strap versions have different serial numbers. Hence, cannot just swap out and sell.

Last time I checked with Sincere, 3717 in bracelet I got close to 25% off whereas the one in strap only got about 20% off.

However, if you want to have the bracelet as a spare, then best is you get the one with bracelet instead. Else, bracelet alone is SGD2.5. Personally, I decided to save 1k+ and get the strap version.

Imagine this. 3717 in strap brand new can get lower than 6k after discount.

KL no more cheap for IWC

Was in KL and checked out the prices there... IWC has also clamped down on the discounts and adjusted prices there. So, prices there are quite similiar to prices here, maybe just a little cheaper due to exchange rates. Discounts now down to 15-17% as well there.

Discount is whole year round mate... the only difference is timing of your purchase as the some brands are clamping down on the discounts given by the AD... eg. Cortina applies the rule quite strictly...

some other ADs can 'cham siong' the discount. usually, paying by cash, the AD can "make it happen" for you

checked out the IWC duty free shop in Hkg yesterday, cute friendly sales, but the price is not so. still cheaper in Sillypore.
