  • Glashutte Original - Pano Matic Lunar in a new look

2009 Sees a brand new look to the Glashutte Original Pano Matic Lunar.
Stunning blue hue on the dial matched with polished hands.

Cannot help but to desire one even tho one may possess the original silvered dial version with the blue hands.

The new Glashutte PanoMaticLunar in a blue face for 2009

The inside is the same with a GO Cal 90, Duplex sawn necks and fine German finish as expected

    The wrist shot

The Original PanoMaticLunar with the silvered face and blue hands
    .

Now...where have i seen the Blue face before? hmmmmm........
A long time ago in Sincere has a run of GO PMLs as a Sincere limited edition of 50 pcs.
But the only big minus point was.......a big "1954" engraving of the Sincere birth year between the lugs.
The Sincere watch can be distingushed from the normal ones by the fact that the moonphase background was also blued-out

.......digging deeper..........How is the 2009 Edition different from the previous PMLs with the blue faces ?

The previous edtion is shown here (i.e non-limited, NOT the Sincere edtion)....notice that the older ones do not have the blue hue extending to the frame counter around the moon phase. The new 2009 watch has the blue in this frame.

Excellent for 2009 from the house of Glashutte Original :-)

                decksurgeon...thanks for the info.

I have a silver dial PML, I got it before the blue dial one was release:

and always fascinated by the blue dial one as well.

What do you think of this new one compared to the old non-limited blue dial?

I kind of like the old one better as I feel that the silver framed crescent matches the hour and minute ring perfectly….got to see it in person though.

Hmm, hope that this implies that GO may release different colour dials on the other models in the Pano series as well. I have been waiting for a black dial PMV in SS for a long time.

I read somewhere like only 20%.

but then dunno whats the servicing cost in future for such complicated movements

I was given 35% off when I bought mine, but that was several years back. Not sure about the discount nowadays.
