  • IWC Topgun in PVD??

    Hi,

Just went over to one of the shop in Lucky plaza today and was surprise to find out from the seller that there is a top 42mm PVD version..
Was told that the ceramic (single Chrono) is limited edition (1000pcs)
Anyone, heard of this PVD version before?
And how much does that roughly cost...

    Cheers,

    KK

there is no such thing from the IWC factory for top gun
either it never came from the factory, or some aftermarket PVD finish was done that is not in line with an official IWC product.

Not an expert in IWC but I know Top Gun only comes in 44mm and 46mm. So the 42mm must be fake or someone went to PVD the normal pilot chrono and try to sell at a higher price.

        Decksurgeon any comments?

          entirely possible!
there are PVD rolex milgauss on the market for stupid prices.

so essentially if you have a watchmaker to strip the case out - you can send it for PVD coating

top gun model only comes in
          44mm single chrono - discontinued
46mm double chrono - still in production

What is PVD coating? Is it the same as that done for BR01-92? I understand that if you scratch it, you will see the original layer of metal.

For the Top Gun series, is it PVD coated or is the entire casing of a different material?

The Top Gun uses a ceramic case.
