Wondering if anyone has problems with the AR coating for Sinn and other brands?

I mean I notice the AR coating gets corroded and form unremovable smudges after sometime. Anyone knows the cause? Is it detergent or sea water? I hope Sinn will give options of removing the AR coating to prevent such a phenomenon.

I had so many watches with outer AR coating & never encountered any problems at all. Maybe at most just some faint hairlines and that's it. Had a Sinn 857UTC as a daily beater for couple of years & the AR coating was still as good as day 1 even though it got beat up quite badly sometimes.

I have the same issue with Sinn U1. The outer AR coating is troubling. Smudges stain seen at certain angle. On the side note, I think this thread is at the wrong section.

just used GIF and green wool and scrub it off if the AR coating bother you so much

Whoa... treating Sinn like plates... to use GIF. Better not IMO
