I am referring to the IWC boutique in KL Pavillion shopping centre. It is not an AD....it is operated by IWC. Very friendly and very knowledgeable and not the typical pushy sales types in most AD.

My friend just bought his 371701 at the KL Pavillion IWC boutique @S$4950 after converting from Ringgit to SGD. The salesman there claim that they only got 1 pc with them and it was bought by my friend.

Seems like the price already drop (more discount) as compared with 20% I bought for my 3717 2 yrs ago.

371701 vs Top Gun? Choose which one?

Hi Bros, may I seek your expert opinion whether the 371701's movement is the same as that of the Top Gun series? Is there any particular reason why one should pay a premium for the Top Gun series over the other? They look quite similar.

yeah same movement for the chronographs..... case material and size are however different.....

there is another topgun which is a split-seconds chronograph..... i.e. different movement.....
the hype is true. listen at your own risk.

So in your opinion, is it worth forking out the extra for a Top Gun?
If ask you to choose between Top Gun and Big Pilot?

Opinions may differ, but for me, it's things like in-house movement in the BP; BP being a classic etc as compared to the Top Gun.

                    BP for sure!

7 Days power reserve is 1 good reason. BP one of the most iconic piece from IWC.

                      Ques on 3717

                      Guys,
i wonder if existing 3717 owners can help me with these questions
                      1) power reserve is touted as around 44 hrs. Wat is your experience with your 3717's actual power reserve?
                      2) 3717 has day & date in it's movement. I assume it comes with quick day and date set?
                      3) Any 3717 owners restrap their watch with after-market strap? I find the stock strap a bit on the thin side, worried the pin buckle will break it in a matter of time! Any experience?

I really like the look of the 3717 Pilot Chrono... slightly smaller case at 42mm should sit nicely under biz shirts. congrats to all of you who owned one... hope to own one too!

                        1) Power reserve seem right abt 44 hrs
                        2) Yes, it is quick day and date set
                        3) Pin buckles shouldnt break so easily anyway I don't think it is that expensive to replace.

Thanks buddy... I'm just toying with the idea of getting the watch in bracelet cos I perspire so much! But the same watch will cost around $2k more... that's a lot to pay for SS bracelet...

The SS bracelet for the 3717 should not cost S$1.5k more and with discount, should be even less.

Anyway, you can get after-market quality straps for less than $100 each. I brought 3-4 pieces each time and seems that it can last me many years.

I asked Richemont before....$2.5k if buy separately. In the end, I decided to get the watch with the bracelet than the leather strap. Easier and cheaper to find leather strap than bracelet....

agreed. Its always more economical to get watch with bracelet then buy a leather strap.

unlike me, my mark XV no more come with SS Bracelet so when I bought from AD, only haev leather strap now if want bracelet, wil have to pay above 2k .

I rather use 2k get a BALL watch
I dont need another watch, I dont need another watch, I dont need another watch, I dont need another watch.........
