Hi guys, very new to IWC watches, but keen to own one.
Need advices on the following watch before taking the plunge.
Model: IW371701 from IWC, The Pilot’s Watch Chrono-Automatic in stainless steel with black crocodile leather strap.
1) List price of this watch?
2) Discount given by AD for IWC?
3) Is $6500 worth the plunge?

For (1), you can check with THG @ MW. Just quote this model and they'll find out for you the retail
For (2), is around 25%. Some bros here know of AD's who can give additional 2.5%. Check the IWC Thread
For (3), depends on how much you like the watch...

The pilot chrono has been out of stock for very long liow
Liked the watch and wanted to get one in Dec 06, out of stock until now. . lost interest liow. Gd luck in finding the watch daveevan.

You may want to try centrepoint. Saw one in bracelet yesterday.

There was one day in Dec 06, I went MW , Suntec, Raffles city, centrepoint, lucky plaza, taka..... cortina, THG, Sincere all bo stock
Throughout last yr, I usually will go take a peek when I pass by the ADs, but never seem to see any pilot chrono black face black leather on display. One of the AD say stock havent come in.

Once a while can see a couple of pieces in bracelet around. I ever talk to WOS before, they say can even change the bracelet to leather for me if I really interested. But price is no good. So, no go.

Yup, at WOS. Its the black colour pilot chrono if i'm correct.

I ask about the leather model and was told they have one. Not sure if they just change from the bracelet model or they have a brand new piece in store.

ben.. why not revisit the idea of an IWC?? I am sure you will want one at minimum in the future... since it may be available now, won't harm taking a look and it may rekinder some kind of romance with it once again? ;P

Just my view as classic time piece are hard to come by... Esp IWC where their production volumes are low.
