I wear my Superocean Abyss 42 on a black/yellow leather strap [had to indent the longer version from Melcher's] myself. Too lazy to take a camera shot but this is what it looks like on the wrist and unstrapped.
Pretty Unique for something that's been around since 2010.

You have 2 Superoceans? Anyway they look great and I have personally tried them on myself. The orange is limited edition but I am not sure for the yellow one, I think it is too.

Actually I have seen many criticisms on foreign forums on pieces where their aesthetics differs for the conventional. Our models are 2 of the commonly targeted. However in my opinion this is the one of the best looking and most sporty diving watch I have ever seen. Maybe because I dislike sports watches that look too generic and solemn. IMO diving watches are meant to look pro and sporty, seriously you can't get more sporty than this beauty

Guilty as charged...... Orange one [limited edn] was a gift from my wife for my birthday - the yellow one was the one I bought for myself 'cause it was simply the one I wanted :-D [ so I ended with 2]. The Yellow beveled inner bezel and the yellow arrowheaded seconds hand definitely get more wrist time. The orange one's seconds hand and arrowhead has an orange outline as opposed to a solid orange arrowhead. Makes a subtle but definite impact on the look.......

And yes can't agree with you more - the Superocean42 looks simply fabulous [though it does look a tad small on big wrists] but it is a serious statement of intent But can't say I like the blue/blue new limited version.

i have the exact same watch with black dial and baton markers bought last year from Sincere in Singapore and very likely i won't sell it.
I like it lots cos of its weight, thickness and design.
it fits my 7 inch wrist well.
