Cartier Santos worth keeping?

Was thinking of getting a watch other than round shape and cartier came to mind.
Any idea whether cartier watches are worth keeping and do they last providing the mileage of a rolex in terms of servicing?

Depends on what is "worth" for you. For me, a watch that I enjoy wearing and wear often is worth.

And no, no watches are worth keeping. Watches are for wearing.

Will a Cartier last as long as a Rolex? Can't generalize all Cartier watches since they use different movements, but why not if well taken care of? Some of the vintage watches seen at auctions are Cartier.
