Can Automatic Watch be over wined?

Hi there... I have a Zenith El Primero watch that I left in the watch winder for months. When I wanted to wear it for CNY... it stopped moving even though it was in full power. I wanted to bring the watch to service centre since it was still under warranty... but realise the watch started moving again after leaving it alone overnight.

Did the watch stopped because it has too much power? Got such thing? Or should I bring it to service centre to check for problems?

Please help clarify. Thank you!
