Be careful of overseas deals - scammer alert

Dear All,

Just wanted to alert you guys of a scammer from the Philippines called Jose de los santos III (also called 'Jay Jay'). I was the victim of an expensive scam in 2009 when he was living in the US. Along with another victim from NZ, we filed a police report in the US but he fled the country before they could arrest him.

They think he has returned to the Philippines and as it is fairly close to Singapore, please be on your guard as he may be operating in the region. His modus operandi is to advertise either 16520 Daytonas or 1655 Orange hand explorers.

can you please elaborate more on how his scam works? is it selling fake watches? or is it asking you to remit the money and never send you the watches? or something else? scam is very fague.

I think it's better we stay away from overseas sellers.........too much at risk.

Watch I post for sale got scammer saying he is staying in UK, but want to buy for grandson 21st BD, but he work in Nigeria, ask to send watch to Nigeria !
wah piang, heard Nigeria straight away OR LAN con men where we heard so often come to my mind
I reply them in hokkien to go F.. themselves
Watch that they post for sale like daydate, I ask if can sell me for 5K and they say ok

Bro, what's wrong if he pays you before you despatch the watch to Nigeria? So long you get the money, nothing to be worried about right?
