Had some scammer trying their luck on me recently.
Wannebee scammer claim that 'buyer' has already instructed PayPal to deduct Sale Price + Shipping Price and somehow to complete the transaction and for me to receive the Sale Price, all I have to do is to transfer Shipping Price via Western Union first.
Scammer's emails also helpfully provide guidance to not trust PayPal if they advise that deal may be a scam, how to bypass Western Union's queries etc. See latest email....
"Dear XXX,
We are awaiting the details for the transfer of the shipping fees of $XXX SGD (You have been provided an extra $XXX SGD to cover the sending fees) via Western Union Money Transfer so that we can verify it and release your total amount of $XXX SGD into your account immediately within few hours after the details has been verified.
You will have your account credited immediately we receive the details for this payment and all your total funds after crediting into your account will be readily available for pick up in your Personal
Account immediately. PayPal will be responsible for any additional charges incurred during the course of sending the shipping fee at the western union office, it will be reimbursed and credited together with all your total fund to be released into your account and your payment which will be readily available in your bank account.
As you already know, PayPal cannot change it's security procedures so we implore you to work on paying this shipping fees and get back to us sooner so that we can complete your transaction for you. We are sorry for any inconvenience this transaction may have caused you.
Finally, please note that legal actions will be started if we do not read from you within the stated period of time as your transaction has now taken more than 24 hours and we reserve the right to start legal prosecutions against you.

In fact, any deal where I have to transfer monies via Western Union...SIAAARRRRMMMM AHHHHHH!!!!!!!
