  • Giving Information

    Hi,

I know there are certain rules/guides on the use of the sales thread but I wonder if we can give information in the thread/topic itself. For example, I see someone selling a watch at exorbitant price and wish to warn potential buyers; or someone selling at a price that is far too low due to lack of knowledge. How do I post warning/give proper information? A clear example is this thread:

    http://www.sg-roc.com/showthread.php?t=9498

    Please advise. Tx.

if you are worried that newbies may be paying too high a price, you can start a new thread in the brand forums or even kopitalk with your comments ..... dun forget to link the particular WTS thread for reference....

you can also choose to PM the seller if you think he's selling far too low.

        i agree with that wholeheartedly......

however, as some members are pro-active in wanting to help newbies or other members avoid a bad deal......... and since we dun allow off-topic posts in WTS, members can offer their comments and advice in the discussion forums.......

Buyers are supposed to scan the internet and forums to get a good idea on the price themselves.

Besides, it is not very nice to pinpoint other people's sale post and then throw cold water on it. Imagine if you are trying to sell something and someone did that to you.

In most forums, pinpointing a specific sale or pushing for a particular sale is not allowed and deemed as unprofessional. Just my 2 cents.

In cases where pros want to help newbies, they usuallly PM them.

that is a dealer leh...not a end user...anyway...i dun tink it be nice to pinpoint out any sales prices....in the end will juz cause many unhappiness and conflicts....if you wanna to buy watches DO SOME research 1st.....afterall there are tonnes of information in here....and can always check out at ADs and preowned shops mah....

see......... a reward for waiting for the watch to come to you .......

honestly........ just leave the WTS to the buyer/seller. you perceive as expensive, other people dont mind paying and vice versa.
