I think the proportion seems a bit out.
as in the avatar area for each person when posting in a thread looks super huge now where as the wordings become so much smaller in comparison.
and the number of sponsors at the top section looks pretty overwhelming.

This new look; although spotting Rolex Corp color, it just make the whole forum looks dull..

is your proporation in reference to the avatar? however, do note that Darkangel avatar is CUSTOMIZED. so it is HUGE.
will you prefer to have the ads by the side or @ the top? or if the ads size is smaller.

do note that some forums based engine is VBullentin. the old version was on v3.6.5 and the latest version is 4.0.7. so all the design layout will look similar.
part of the reason for upgrade is due to better security in protecting database and ability to manipulate scripts which were causing alot of server load issue. this can sometimes result in the forum not being accessible.
