Often than not, many members here shop for watches and related items from watch shops, AD or private dealers, frequently. It came to my mind that there may be a permanent thread created in the "Lobangs aka Tips" thread, for members to state when they are buying watches, and where. And whoever is interested to join in, he/she, or even they, can arrange to organise a 'watch-shopping trip' together.
An example:
Member 'A' wishes to visit the Hour Glass outlet at Lucky Plaza to buy a Daytona. He will like to have company, especially with those who are also intending to make a purchase or two at the same outlet, for better discount. 'A' then posted a notice in the thread to state his intentions with date and time of visit and invite companion(s).
This can also be a thread used for organising small/big gatherings for members, over coffee meet-ups to group outings, and watch sales events, etc. It is also good for those who know they are living near one another to meet up for coffee-shop chit-chat sessions.
Disadvantage:
The disadvantage will be safety/security reasons, in that people are able to know when and where you will be hitting the watch shops, that likely you may be carrying loads of cash. But I believe this is only a small consideration. Well, may be because this is Singapore?
