Its really up to the moderators to decide if any nick names is offensive or not.
Anyone, Tom, Dick and Harry ( Not my shufu Hary ) can just register their favourite nick like C.B. Leaves, MojoMan etc......( Please ban UncleLau ) BUT if there is a single complain or an unhappines from the members, than the moderators must have a meeting ( Kopi Talk at Orchard...) to decide on the issue once and for all.
Moderators started this wonderful forum, they have the right to stated and change rules and regulation on it forum policies etc.
Members too must be sensitive about choosing their nick too.
