  • Hotels You Would Recommend?

I am sure you guys do travel ard the world for leisure or business trip. why not compile a lists of hotels you would recommend for all our friends here. Cheers!

Shanghai-恒升半岛国际酒店 (Heng Sheng peninsula International Hotel)

This hotel is near to the bund and is not very expensive. Rooms/toilets are clean and service staffs are helpful.

    Tianjin-香槟小镇商务酒店

This is a budget hotel. Walking distance to major shopping mall. Rooms/toilets are clean. Service so so....haha

    Bangkok- Century Park Hotel

10 mins walk to skytrain, shopping along the way to station. Not too expensive and rooms/toilet are clean. Airport to hotel is about 300 baht.

    Bangkok- Siam Sq Novotel

Not too bad but price a bit on the high side if traveling alone.

Do add to the lists and lets us all benefit from this! Cheers!

From my fairly limited past experience

    Bangkok - Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit
    Beijing - Novotel Xinqiao
Shanghai -Westin: The Westin Bund Center (because it was closer to our corp. HQ)

I avoid HIX and HI like the plague in Australia...

If you are referring to Taipei, it is one of the few places like Hong Kong and Bangkok that ppl will always re-visits for food and shopping.

                My recommendations:

Turku/Finland - Sokos Hamburger Bors (nice rest & bar at the lobby, one of the best place to get a raindeer steak) right smack in city center.

Oslo/Norway - Grand Hotel Oslo (very nice place for morning coffee + great service) walking distance to the docks with lots of nice rest. & bars.

Shanghai - Salvo Hotel (cheap and in good location)

                  Melbourne, Australia-Paramount Service Apartment
2 mins walk to Chinatown, 5 mins walk to City Centre, close to trains station. Lots of pubs and bars around the area too.
