Wifi is readily available everywhere. Most convenience stores will have free wifi too just ask over the counter for credentials.

Departure air port tax is IDR200, 000 now.

It's true that most hotels have wifi. However, you need to lower your expectations on the speed and... connection strength. There are certain sweet spots though, but only in the exact spot.

Just go to normal wifi in any place who provide it or change their local sim card. Is not difficult.
