watch shopping at dubai airport

I'm heading to france for business trip in 2 weeks time and i've 3 hours to kill while waiting for my connecting flight. I was wondering if anyone bought your watches in Dubai airport? is it cheaper and what kind of discount can one bargain?

The Rolex 116610 LV is 10% cheaper there. Not sure if all watches are cheaper.

I've transited at Dubai international airport many times and have found that they are not willing to discount at all as its all tax free. You would probably get a better discount in Paris and I would recommend checking out AD's like Dubail on Place Vendome; Wempe on Rue Royale ; and the new Bucherer branch.Of the main AD's I find Wempe being the easiest going personel overall ; Dubail is also very good but unless you're really well dressed and look really serious to buy ;then they will entertain your requests- Its sort of an Parisian blue blood mentality amongst the sales staff there and also their premier location on Place Vendome.

The AD in Galleries Lafayette may discount on the less popular models.

Singapore DFS is quite low for Asia and middle east DFS.

purchases at the airport are already duty free, so you don't get any tax refund..

i checked out a few rolex models in dec last year and the prices at dubai airport are about 10% more than sg.. no discount also…
