Red Sparrow

This spy thriller attempts to build tension in its narrative but somehow, the tension falls flat throughout most of the movie. I find the movie to be draggy and lack of thrill. The main character "Dominika" (played by Jennifer Lawrence), does not feel believable as the development of her skills as a spy is only briefly explained and shown in the movie, which makes it difficult to fully believe that she is a competent spy, which is also what the movie is mainly about. The ending is slightly more satisfying. You will not miss much as the movie is rather bland.

Will give it a 2.5/5 rating.
