This is a well made film by Mel Gibson hopefully in the running for Oscars as well based on the standard. The producers really made great effort to make it as authentic as possible. The feat carried out by the main lead in real life is highly remarkable if not a miracle by itself. Watching the movie really makes one believe that the divine exist as the probability of one surviving in such situation is impossible.
This movie really truly depicts one's conviction, faith, courage, self sacrifice, resilience and humanity in the face of adversity. The biggest bonus is that it is based on true life story of a WW2 war veteran NOT a fictional character.
A highly recommended show, I give it a 5/5. I encourage all to watch it on the big screen as it very much deserve!
I am going to get me the blu ray once it comes out to re-watch it again, ha, ha!
