Great movies, not like never ending episode. The episode 1 to 6 all about Skywalker. Let's see the episode vii Force Awakens...

When Star Wars first started in 1977, it was innovative and refreshing. Now with technological advances and many sci-fi shows, it will really need to step up. However, looking at the recent trailer, it does not excite me. It is either I have watched too many sci-fi movie since star wars franchise, or I have grown numb from sci-fi.

However, I would still give it a go, for nostalgic reason, just like the new James Bond movie that will be showing soon.

Still prefer the old actor like Roger Moore and Pierce Brosnan

Just caught the movie. Pretty enjoyable and very nostalgic with leia, Han Solo, chewie, x wings, TIE fighter and millennium falcon. BB8 was absolutely adorable and cuter than R2D2

but parts of the story seems a little too similar to episode 4. Without revealing too much: key character killed by someone close, Death Star threat, x wings rushing in... Was hoping to see some new kick-ass plane or vehicle. Seems like x wing, AT-AT and tie fighter may have set the bar too high

Another gripe is the bad guys seem rather weak and unimpressive: kylo ren getting his ass whopped by a newbie, captain phasma taken hostage and supreme bad guy snoke looks like a plastic puppet?

Not sure whether it's intentional but the lead characters consist of white female and a black dude. Maybe to make it more racially and gender balanced?


Overall,i would still recommend all to catch it, especially if you have watched the older episodes 4-6.

Ya agree with jamester it was really enjoyable and nostalgic,i too feel that the movie is a little too similar to episode 4 and i agreed that kylo ren is not at all impressive,not goin to say too much about it,all in all i personally think that its a good movie worth watchin.I say go watch it.

I don't reckon this in episode vii, from this Trailer the force want you to figure it out. my sense this dialogue will be play in episode viii, similar dialogue in episode vi. the new dialogue might from same voice, the last sentence not in episode vi but in the force awakens Trailer, I don't reckon this voice during episode the force awakens.

Thinking of catching the movie this weekend... but so far comments are friends who have watched are that it is not as "good" as expectation. But think will still watch to keep up with the trend!

This Star Wars movie is basically a combination of the original stars wars episodes 4-6. So there's no new excitements or disappointment,just nostalgic feelings for old folk like me who watched the very 1st star wars as a young fella in 1977.

Does anybody know if there is a difference watching star wars at the IMAX Theatres? Heard the entire movie was filmed with imax cameras? pardon my ignorance...
