Went red star on a Saturday morning before noon.
after queuing got assigned a table beside the door to toilet.
1. no one came to arrange the table.
2. After chasing a few people a waiter came to set up the plates and cup.
3. No push carts came near. They gathered around the center of the restaurant.
4. When asked for more sauce for chee chon fun, extra crispy topping for porridge were rejected.
5. Same for one extra empty bowl for porridge, was rejected too.
6. No wet tissue were provided.
7. Empty tea pot were not refilled. Got to go top up yourself with hot water.
8. Food wise too salty.
Definitely not worth the queue nor the food.
Whole place was small and messy at toa payoh outlet.
Table was served dirty, staff not polite n no customer service.
Food really so so.. dun even feel like going back again.
i queued for an hour when my wife insisted on trying... big disappointment to both of us. nothing spectacular. tried the one in hk years back and it's definitely much better. just my 2 cents worth
Actually tried the one in HK IFC mall and felt it was extremely overrated. But recently I tried the one at TPY, I must say it's pretty good just that the price is on the high side. Different items were ordered though but the consistent item is still the char siew pau.
