Same here. I dont think its worth queueing. I actually waited for an hour. Only the char sao bao is nice. Rest are run of the mill

      Will never queue for it.
Never queued for any due to taste.

I think the HK version is better, not too sweet for the Char Sao Bun.

Also, SG is cheaper than HK's Tim Ho Wan??? O.o

Once in a while, q for 30m to 1 hr i think is ok n no choice sometimes.
            But 3-4 hrs, ridiculous.
No way I'll allow myself to be so desperate.

been there 2 weeks ago, though i only Q for half an hr, but i had tasted nicer tim sum elsewhere, not worth it imo. expensive too i felt. don't think i wanna go back there again. the only thing i felt nice is the 'ma lai gao', the brown malay sweet cake..

I just heard that they have opened up a new outlet in Toa Payoh Central at the ERA Building today. Wondering if the queues are going to be the same.

I find the fried bbq bun too too sweet and buttery....
wonder if anyone share the same thot as mine

Was based in hk for few years, office located at ifc one. So had the chance to tabao/eat tim ho wan at least twice a month. The fried bbq bun did wow me when I first tried. But the more I eat, the more sickening I find. Since dun know when, I had stopped ordering that, unless got visitors. Colleague bought, I also will not eat.

How does this one compare to victor's kitchen? I've been wanting to try but the queues have been off-putting

                              叹茶...

Tried the big 4 heavenly kings + spinach dumplings + glutinous rice dumpling. All tasted very good except the carrot cake a bit plain in taste for me. Serving of food was fast. Ambience and comfort could be better - the small table and stools we had remind me of Ya Kun. Price is reasonable imo.
