TBH, it's not worth the queue. I'd gladly head on to Red Star, 126 or Swee Choon.
I've been to the Mong Kok branch a.k.a the original store that got the Michelin star.

The food there was MUCH better and cheaper. Too hyped up over here in S'pore IMO.

Read a food review on this place , and its way overhyped ..queue for 3hrs and i find it's not worth the time and effort to eat at this place ...prefer lei garden set lunch dim sum or roland at marine parade ..

my wife and her colleague queued 3 weeks ago and said the food sucks and the head chef from HK was there! She hasn't been to the Mong Kok one so the comparison was against SG Dim Sum. maybe it's just high expectations? Then we tried lei garden @ chjimes one week ago and it was so so much better. pricing wise is about the same as Tim Ho Wan so lei garden is my obvious choice.

i will not eat at singapore's tim ho wan, unless there's no one Q-ing. heard not much variety, less tasty (as compared to hk's).
will rather have a bak chor mee, add chilli add vinegar. 15min later stomach song song.

better to visit t.h.w when i go hk for holiday.
