Nice Fried Rice

Recently revisited ding tai feng and ordered their fried rice.
Not bad but not ultimate .
I give it 7.5/10

Today I went new ubin seafood. Ordered chilli crabs, salted egg squid etc.
Fried rice included.
I give the fried rice 5/10.

Next time I will try as it's one place I will return to eat. The overall food was good.

Not so for new ubin seafood. This i will not return.
The crab quality and chilli crab gravy was not good.
Salted egg squid overdone.
Price ok as promo crab 2+1free. 130+ for 4

Mellben have better crab. But I will not return too.
Price too high for what you get. 200+ for 5. remember around 230.
For that I go aircon restaurant.

There used to be this restaurant called 'Da Men Lou' around CBD I think.... Their fried rice was beautiful. Not sure if they are still around.

Last time I had it was more than 10 years ago.

Try the seafood fried rice at the Kopitiam at Bras Basah Complex... i realllly like the texture and taste of the fried rice here. And comes with generous amounts of seafood! Fish, cuttlefish, prawn!!

as above, where are the nice places you have ate fried rice? Be it yang zhou, prawn, plain egg fried rice at a restaurant, coffeeshop, hawker centre etc.

1 of the nice place i can think of the ding tai fong, their prawn fried rice is nice.

i like those whereby the rice is not sticky together (sometimes japanese fried rice taste good even when the rice is just a little bit sticky), can feel the "grain by grain", and the 'wok hei" must be there too. you know they have fried it at the correct heat of the fire and the correct time the rice is at the wok with constant tossing of it.

go on weekday only. weekend they v bz, anyhow fried.

i hate those fried rice that use fake pork meat. or keep reusing the oil, untill got a bad smell.

I think most of the Chinese restaurant like din tai Feng, crystal jade, canton paradise offers nice fried rice. One of the better one in my opinion is perhaps lei garden at chimes.
