There's this stall at a Bukit Timah hawker centre near the former Turf Club (near Clementi and Bukit Timah Plaza) that serves pretty good Wanton noodles. The uncle splashes a dash of cold water after blanching the noodles to ensure its springy texture and provides generous servings of sauce and lard.
As an aside, the carrot cake at this same hawker centre is pretty good, generous servings of preserved radish and an aroma that drafts under your nostrils when cooked, a Tiong Bahru pig's viscera porridge franchise stall is also there with it's famous fried intestines. There's a famous herbal mutton soup stall to boot!
