so i went to clementi west hawker centre and had pontian last night.. yum yum..but don like their non fried wanton. inside got a weird powdery kinda taste de..wonder why...
but their noodles still quite good. QQ one haha...

However, like Pet Bro said it is a simple dish, hard to screw this dish up.. Hardly find a cui wanton mee too..
If you are referring to the one in the hawker centre at JW st 51. Yeap i agree as it's quite authentic, tastes like what i had during my childhood days.
Yeah, the Parklane wanton noodles is not too shabby. The Pam shops are gone though.

I must report on the one in Hong Lim complex (2nd floor) which was rated by Straits Times readers as the best in singapore. It is plastered with all sorts of newspaper articles.
Unfortunately, it is THE WORST I have had in a long time. The noodles were a bit over-cooked, the sauce nothing special.... and the extra serving of deep-friend wanton was cold, hard and chewy.
I used to be too lazy to queue for this one, so went to the one a few stalls away which is not bad but always quiet ... but that day I saw the queue was short so I tried the famous one.
Regret.
Next time I save myself the queueing time and go to the one nobody goes to. It's not the best, but at least its not bad.
