I must report on the one in Hong Lim complex (2nd floor) which was rated by Straits Times readers as the best in singapore. It is plastered with all sorts of newspaper articles.
Unfortunately, it is THE WORST I have had in a long time. The noodles were a bit over-cooked, the sauce nothing special.... and the extra serving of deep-friend wanton was cold, hard and chewy.
I used to be too lazy to queue for this one, so went to the one a few stalls away which is not bad but always quiet ... but that day I saw the queue was short so I tried the famous one.
Regret.
Next time I save myself the queueing time and go to the one nobody goes to. It's not the best, but at least its not bad.
This famous one was clearly very bad.
