One of my favourites in Singapore is "Hong Ji Claypot Bak Kut Teh" located at block 19 Marsiling Lane
#01-329.
Used to like the dang gui style "Leong Kee Pork Rib Soup" at Alexandra Village Food Centre but standard has dropped over the years (tried a few times the meat not tender enough).
I still go AV nowadays, not for the BKT but for the "Mr Avacado" avacado milk shake that's on its right. The avacado milk shake by "Avacado King" (on its left) is also very good.

If willing to travel a little, something like 50km from Malaysian customs, I would strongly recommend "Kiang Kee Bak Kut Teh 强记肉骨茶" that is located along Jalan Jemaluang heading north easterly towards Mersing. GPS should be 1.827702, 103.958317.
If you reset your trip meter immediately after clearing Malaysian custom (via Woodlands checkpoint), meter should read around 50km (depending on your car's calibration). Start looking out on the right side for a huge "attap" house along the roadside when trip meter nears 48km, shouldn't miss. And when there, don't forget to order the braised pork trotter, won't regret.
Recommended time to arrive there is before 9am, cos the pork trotters and some stuffs may be "sold out" by then, have to wait for next batch to be ready. BKT and pork trotters not shiok enough? There's a stall selling durian across the street; not always open though, see whether you're lucky or not.
Herbal BKT + Liu lian = Lau Pi Hwee
