Which watch do you prefer - Breitling Super Avenger Blacksteel LE or IWC 3777

Was deciding between these 2 watches but couldn't make up my mind.

Needed some opinion.

No brainer for me. Dun even need to see the watches itself. IWC for brand sake unless you put in bentley watch to compare. hahaha

Both watches will wear differently on your wrist. Quite a personal choice I'd say. It's the IWC for me

The Super Avenger LE I believe is still on valjoux 7750 with 40hr or more pwr reserve.

If I want to get a new breitling, I would go for the in house calibre 01 or 04 with 70hr pwr reserve.
There were Special Edition Chronomat (B01 and B04 GMT) with nice red hands and navitimer (B01 with emblem in white gold) that
I was tempted to get. And certainly with the must have signature pilot bracelet - very bling!

But avenger seawolf is running on a b17 aka eta 2824-2. But that said, based on my experience with this watch the power reserve is better than the Tudor black bay, which is running on the same engine. I guess breathing did some mods.

Hah, IWC is a no brainer if compared to the Breitling. However dependent on your job also. If you work desk job think IWC best. If you move around more, maybe Breitling

I'd say IWC definitely as the Super Avenger looks like a glorified Seawolf. That said, I'd get a cheaper IWC 3717 and a Breitling Navitimer, save $$$ and get two good brands! : )

Ah my bad thought it was between avenger seawolf. And 3776.

If you're after versatility then go for the the 3777. Assuming your regular work day uniform is shirt and tue, the 3777 will be a better companion. But personally, I prefer the leather straps to the bracelet version, which is a bit ah Pek. No offense.

Oh here's the catch. If you're thinking if after market straps, the 3777 will be a problem as they should be using 21mm like the 3717. Very hard to find and an oem pair from richemont will set u back by at least $650-750. I've only managed to find a supplier in Singapore that brings in buffalo straps in 21mm similar to those used on the big pilot. And below $100 too! Waiting for them to bring in alligator versions. But I digress. My apologies.

Both are handsome watches. The breitling would be much bigger at around 48mm. But the lugs are curved so should fit smaller wrists well. Personally, I'll go for the breitling but that's cos I have the 3717 already. I feel that breitlings look better in black steel than normal polished ss.

I am inclined to agree with u. I still think the 3717 looks better and is more classic looking than the overpriced 3777. But between the super as and the as both in black steel, I'd go for the former cis of its size, heft and sturdiness.

Between the two watches, I will recommend the IWC 3777.
