Was never a watch person (my 'watches' were Nokia, Ericsson, Samsung....) till a few years back.

I won't count the swatches and casios from school days, so the 'first' one that I spent serious dough on was a PP Calatrava 6000, a birthday gift for my wife when I was 39. Subsequently the only other watch I bought for myself was a Rolex Submariner.
