Rolexes has always been sports watch base patek, VC are the classical watches... If it wants to be Sport watch base it needs to focus on on something other than divers watches cos there is simply too many watches major and micro brands doing them. One thing that coems to mind Golf, or Yacht masters type will be a good start...
You are spot on with these points. They are known for their quirky designs which are both fun and unique but thus far, there is hardly a design that is their signature. Hope they are able to come up with a few that sell well and are iconic to Singapore's context.. Jia Yu..

Although its watches offered arguably the highest discount off the list price (40% or so), Graham is no longer carried by any authorised dealers here in Singapore today. Will U-boat have the same fate?
This maybe slightly out of the thread's context but anyone for U-Boat and comparing it to Graham? How do they compare in terms of built and branding? Graham seems like a new-kid-on-the-block too.

Graham outdated in Sg liao, I personally think U boat will follow suit as it pricing is just not right for some of the model even though the design is solid. Still trying to find the other national watch that azimuth did for sg national day.

They actually release a "heritage" model last year for national day of 47piecez.But I recalled that they have a red and white base "back in time" model a few years back for Sg national day...

2012 heritage model for national day(47pieces)

2010 round 1 back in time for national day(45 pieces)

The more I see, the more giam to get one. Maybe if they come out one this years that is like 2011 or 2010 under 3k, I should just put the jaeger on hold. Hehe

I saw this model being commented in one of the magazines but forgot if it was WOW or Revolution that wrote that article. The clock-like-dial was inspired by the train clock at Tanjong Pagar (previous) Railway Station. It was designed by a design student if my memory did not fail me.. locally designed for a local brand. That's quite a heritage indeed.

Kinda ironic considering that the railway station, the whole piece of real estate and I presume everything inside belongs to Malaysia and KTM.

So the question now about the heritage and it's meaning to Singapore. Wouldn't it be more of a significant heritage for KTM, Malaysia and finally Singapore in that order? A faux pas by Azimuth here IMHO

my impression of the brand is intriguing designs but at the cost of legibility

Hey Wong, I just bought a copy of their latest print. Think it is stil publishing and the print runs only twice a year ,from what the magazine stall uncle said.
