No new models announced in the past 3 years (correct me if I am wrong), is a worrying fact.

This sentence remind me of an independent - VH aka vianney halter. Haven't read about him for few years( or i just missed his news) and suddenly he come out with an amazing star trek inspire 3-D tourby that has the same mystery as DB aka De Bethune!

Maybe Azimuth got something up in their sleeve like the Sg National day watch they launched a few years back.

For Ani its just bad marketing and distributorship. I actually postponed buying from Red Army to try Florence (its birthplace) and it was actually easier to find PAMs than Ani in Florence!! I ended up buying 3 PAMs instead.

Thanks for this post. I was surprised to found out from here that azimuth was co-founded by a xingapore ren.

A novice here but want to share my thot. Agree that longines has lots of room to improve and strenthen on. Maybe they want to focus more on marketing/branding (instead of the technical/product aspect) ? Hk wise, they had beautiful asian stars as brand ambassadors, opened several boutique shops in tsim sha shui and causeway bay. To cast a good netting on the big china mkt.

Graham. I like their iconic big crown design. Looks very steady and cool leh. Like what I mentioned of longines, graham's focus may be in other region. So thats why their exposure is not too prominent in asia.

The two founders of Azimuth, Alvin Lye and Christopher Long, are both Singaporean.

I like Longines and it is better that they are now under a bigger umbrella. Less marketing leads to less brand awareness by public here and leads to lower price. Tudor is re-releasing their vintage models and prices are slowly going up and up. Not good for me as it makes it less affordable. Comparing the prices of my Logines diver no date and heritage choro, it is more than double.

That's another way to look at it. Less branding less expensive.

As in all type of goods, some people go for value, while others go for brand and are willing to pay for it.
