5 ways to become a popular member on forum:
1. Be among the first to help the newbie. You don’t have to be a senior or expert – most things are a goggle away.
2. Address everyone “bro”.
3. Only give positive feedback towards the forum. Let others be the bad guys.
4. Praise the admin and mods whenever there is a chance, so you are in their good book.
5. Only say good things about items shared by other member. Follow this rule if you aren’t sure how:
- If you feel it’s nice, say “Very nice!”
- If you feel it’s is so-so, say “Congrats!”
- If you feel it’s ugly, say “Thanks for sharing!”
If all above failed, create multiple nicks so you can put in some good words for yourself.
PS. Popular is not the same as well known. Commenting on every threads makes you well known, not popular.

I hope I didn't just killed the showcase forums.
It's perfectly alright to use those phrases (I used them too sometimes), but it becomes boring when they appear in every showcase threads. Or worse, someone comments so in every showcase threads.

Nothing wrong in posting nice watch pictures and let others admire. Actually it is like you are doing a good deed to me.
But dun keep emphasizing that you are "poor" bla bla bla when you can buy over 20k+ watches. This make me feel i should place myself in "poverty" category!

I think not all people use the above phases in the same context that you put down. There are people who say "Thanks for Sharing" but do mean that its nice.. ... I would be more incline to think that if they watch is not nice , there is no need or feel to even comment at all. But given the above setting I will tend to now wonder about people when they put the above when I do post a pict as it does set me thinking does the guy meant it (ie its ugly).... hmmm...."He could not just wear a watch. It had to be a Rolex." Ian Fleming, Casino Royale (1953)
