Hi everyone! Need some advice on an issue.
I sold my watch to a pawn shop. We agreed on a price $xxxx after they took pictures of my watch and sent to their specialist for valuation. The transaction was completed and I banked in my cash.
But few hours later, the shop guy called me and told me his boss want him to bear $1000 because the watch was overvalued. He asked me to help him return $500 to him and said it was his fault.
I felt guilt trapped because he said he has family to feed. But the whole transaction ealier was done just and fair. I even waited the whole process for them to take photos and all. I was also informed by them that once the transaction is done I can't back out.
I just like to ask bros here if its really a practice that the boss of the major pawn shop chain would ask the employee to bear $1000 for a subjectively wrong valuation of watch? Should I return the money in this case? I told the shopkeeper I will think about it first.
Thank you all for your advice!
