  • Beware of using Credit Card oversea incur addition charges

Just wish to heads up to all who travel and uses your credit card to purchase watches need to take note of the additional 2.5% + 0.8% on top of their internal daily exchange rate.
Refer to VISA daily rate link below to check the daily rate
    http://corporate.visa.com
    Shocked to see a $7250 euro = $12203 SGD.

You can actually charge it in SGD on the spot, merchant will show you the total amount in SGD that you pay.

I learned that after my heated conversation with my credit card CRO..we need to check VISA daily rate vs the merchant inhouse rate to compare which is lower...another note to take is not all merchant will allow paying in SGD.. So I post to create awareness for pple like me who never check till now..

I called up Citibank to check on the 2.5% charge. They replied saying the only charges is the conversion rate, no 2.5% charges. So which is the real info?
