To me this looks like a once off incident. potential for the CAT to remain high is perhaps due to the last min bidding to clear the back logs of all chaps who decied to pull the car trigger before the loan rules kick in..... as for the CAT B side the drop in CE is merely offset by the higher ARF no?

Seems that it is a good time in getting a new car if COE drops by $40-50K. Any car-guru here is able to share how much would the increase in ARF be for a porsche panamera?

Afterwhich CatB dropped further and Cat A totally crumbled.

Entry Level Porsche 911 3.8L OMV average is $132, 053. And we are not even going to talk about Lambo or Ferraris where their OMV are in ranges of $350,000 and up. This translate to an ARF of $20,000 for the first Tier of OMV of 100% , $42,000 on the second tier between $20,001 to $50000 range at 140% , and a whopping $147,695 on the last tier for the remainer amount at 180%.

Effectively, the new ARF for a Porsche now is $209,695, a good $77,000 increase from what it was before.

So that is why my guess is for COEs to drop below $50k easily.
got a 1/18th scale model one for $300... women love it ! ohhh yeah !!

Ideally Cat A should not be more than 20k and Cat B should be around 35-40k .. Lets keep finger cross

With the current road conditions, I hope the rate of increase of vehicle numbers continue to be in control. No point having cheap COE when there is traffic jam on every highway.
