Any Bros got experience with the current FIAT Punto?

Hi bros, mulling through the idea of switching car makes.

Currently zipping around in an old VW Polo that has served me well but the looks and slightly larger size of the Fiat Punto is tempting...
Test drove a Punto and the gearbox does need a little getting used to, but other than that, any issues to be mindful of in terms of longer term ownership?

My other choice would be to upgrade to the current model VW Polo, used of course : (
