  • Hello All

Came across this site per chance.

How are we all doing? I left Spore about 20 years ago and settled in the UK.

Just wondering what is S'pore like today compared to 20 years ago, I suppose. Last time I was over in 2005 for a short holiday, I could not get over how crowded the place had got. Has it got any worse?

What the economy like at present too?

Would be pleased to hear from some of you. Thanks

    Roy

    Hi

IN short, SG is still the same as before... as in 'owned' by a particular family..

Other than that, wages are falling or have remained stagnant, HDB prices are sky high (imagine paying 300+k for a 4 room in punggol, after 25-30yrs u are actually paying 500-600k for a property that you don't own), everything else has high inflated value, public transport prices are increasing, More and more ERP gantrys, GST at 7% for now coz govt want to help poor ppl, etc

        Thanks chaps for your comments.

So no real change then? I really expected a few more responses but Singaporean have always been on the conservative side in passing judgment and or comments of this nature.

Nevertheless, I am contemplating a return. Just got to work out my working package with the company in mind.

Ah, my lolex is a Submariner blue
