  • Unpleasant Buying Experience

There are many sellers who complain about the negative attitudes of buyers such as buyers going radio silence.

For once, I encountered radio silence from a seller after price is agreed upon

      Normal?

Reason I can think of is quote wrong price? But at least gentleman to either honour the deal or say sorry, quote you wrong price.

But to go radio silence, shows immaturity.

      seller nick is k*****n

My encounter lagi worst. Price agreed, queue and draw 20k cash from bank. Arrived 15 mins early to the place we supposed to deal, seller call say got better offer. I call back to him again(5mins) say I will match the offer, seller say he not selling liao. The next day, I saw the same watch selling at higher price in sg-roc by another member. Angry!

It happens especially when seller gets higher offer before he deals. Had this experience once, seller agreed to a price but didn't show up at meeting place.

My experience is i offered this guy my best price of $460 for a seiko, but he said it was too low. Later i saw this guy posting on this forum asking for $440, but i already give up on him. Stupid right !!!

People behave differently in different mode of contact.

Face-to-face: most sincere (relatively to other modes). And you can judge one's sincerity better when you see his/her face expression and body language.

Telephone call: better than sms/whatsapp. People are more committed to words said from their mouth, as opposed to sms/whatsapp. Sometimes you could also judge a person's enthusiasm through his/her voice, though not always accurate.

sms/whatsapp: most common way of communication for watch dealing, but not ideal. Somehow some people don't feel they are making a promise when they text. So talk better.

Email: worse form of communication for dealing of watches, imo. Why? Because people can hide behind the computer. There is no way to follow up with him if he/she does not respond.

KCChen, a seasoned private dealer, would call me straight away everytime I sms him for equiry, and is always prepared to bring the watch to show me if I express an interest to buy. Lau jiao salesman.

Watches are like potato chips - You never stop at one

The item in concern is not a watch but a watch tool.

The item has not been sold since last year and as of now, it has not been updated if sold or otherwise.

Good on you. I am fine if seller chooses to sell it to someone else @ lower or higher price or not even selling it.

On the night of supposed collection, sms seller twice also did not respond but can be surfing sg-roc.

So I guess it is the attitude. Anyway, what's goes around, comes around.

Seller is also reading this thread.

You may consider using the iTrader to give a rating to the seller.
