  • Cooling Measure for SG-ROC Garages

Following the recently announced 2013 Budget, and in order to maintain the prices at an attractive level for the benefit of watch lovers using SG-ROC, I hereby recommend the following cooling measure for the consideration of the forum owner:

    1. Sellers who sell more than one watch within a period of 3 months, must pay to the forum an Appreciation Fee equivalent to 2% of the deal price or asking price, whichever is higher, on the 2nd watch sold and onward.

    2. Buyers who buy more than one watch within a period of 3 months, must pay to the forum an Appreciation Fee equivalent to 2% of the deal price, on the 2nd watch bought and onward.

    3. Buyers are not allowed to make any offer that is less than 20% of the asking price.

    4. Sellers who sell watches purchased from overseas AD must pay to the forum a fee equivalent to 1% of the deal price. This fee is called the SGST Fee (Siam GST Fee).

    5. Buyers from the age of 21 onward are not allowed to use money of his/her father or mother for purchase of watches, other than his own hard earned money. Buyers below the age of 21 may borrow money from his/her father or mother for purchase of watches, up to 80% of the deal price. The money borrowed must be returned to the parents within 6 months from the date the buyer starts to be gainfully employed.

All fees collected will be used for rewarding the hard working moderators and for organizing gatherings.

Strike and protest against the proposed measure at Hong Lim Park are strictly prohibited and will be severely dealt with.

All feedback are welcome although we don't really care what you say since the forum have already got your mandate to implement whatever measure deemed necessary at the point when you registered yourself as a member.

                  Please don't vote me out.

This measure is well thought of and is for the long term benefit of SG-ROC and Singapore. You will see the effect in 20 years' time. Or we can always review it by 2020.

No. 1 ensures the sellers don't put a sky-high asking price. We need sellers so we give chance for first watch.

No. 2 ensures buyers don't anyhow buy. When the demand is soften the prices will come down. We want people to buy and enjoy watches so we encourage them to buy 1 every 3 months but not too many so they have some money to do some good causes and give back to the community.

No. 3 the anti-lowballers act, ensures buyers don't take advantage of no. 1 so the prices won't crash, coz if prices crash people who own many watches also not happy.

No. 4 is to encourage local spending to boost our economy.

No. 5 is to curb the bad behaviour of young Singaporean of spend big even before they learn how to earn money. This one must wait 20 years to see the full effect but would address the public's concern of taking care of their next generation. Why cut-off at 21? Because the founder of SG-ROC just passed 21.

You said I don't speak your language so now I speak a bit singlish I hope you understand.

seller must have buy back policy... rolex less than a year... buy back at 90 percent.... plus 2 percent will have to pay to the sg-roc for admin fees....

buyer buying watches paid by installment plan should at least paid 50 percent and the paid up plan max to 5 month....:P

                    Wahahaha....
                    Wei...give chance leh... Iam just a newbie...:red:

Sounds good on the below but now how do you propose we track the final prices of watch bought and sold so you can effectively
tax (oops..) rather so that all us can PAY the appreciation fee.. hahaha

Honestly think will be hard to do unless we have mechinisms to log all sales and purchases like the Ebay sites and stuff...

Good efffort thou, but not sure how to ink out the details.. Sure you are not a running for candidate for the "MIW" or rateh "MIG" ?
