You can make a police report under but will be classified under self fear. My suggestion is to file the complaint with your apac hr through your supervisors. It is important to keep track of such threats regardless whether is he a ft or not. Just my 2 c. As far as possible, do not provoke him unnecessarily as it will be meaningless.Just another small small small small watch user ....

BTW, this FT stays in JB and I always go JB jalan. Skali he do something to me in JB leh?
Pls let this gentleman knows this is Singapore not jb! What he had done could have cost him his job, and residency status in Singapore! (i don't know if he is holding work permit or already a PR) But if he wanna fug with the law think 10 times, and if convicted he will be asked to leave his job and Singapore!
Pls email and speak to your boss/director about this, don't keep it within yourself. Make it official thru proper channel in your company also. Maybe there you find out, you are not the only person don't be surprised!Last edited by louie; 31-12-12, 04:25 PM.

I can make a report and just for records purposes. Right now I am thinking if I go outside channel before my internal management does anything. Will get myself into trouble? I just need it for record purposes. Police dun have to investigate, just in case next time he comes back again with nonsense.
I already spoken to my director and he told me to ignore this mad man. But ignore is ignore, if nobody take care of him. He will come back with more nonsense and always target me.

AFAIK, when one person threatens another person with injury to the latter's property, body or reputation AND the latter is alarmed, then that is criminal intimidation.
--- this website defines it more specifically:
1) It may be a criminal offence if someone threatens to inflict you with bodily injury, property damage or reputation damage. However, for it to amount to criminal intimidation, this threat must be accompanied with an intention to cause alarm or to coerce you to do something unwillingly. See section 503 of the Penal Code for criminal intimidation.
2) It may be a criminal offence if someone makes you fearful that he is going to hurt you. See section 351 of the Penal Code for assault.

He seldom speak to u. So when he does, just grt ready ur iphone to record the conversation. Do not provoke him because the record will be usless cus u framed him to do what he did. Just speak normally and see how he reacts lo. Key word is he seldom speak to u. So its not difficult to stand by ur iphone when he does speak to u

For example, if he mentions statement/remark like "I want to kill you!", it is classified as criminal intimidation. The police will call him up for a statement but likely to issue a warning. May I know the country of origin of this ft?
I think dun involve any govt agencies first. Later I kenna blacklisted as the trouble maker by my company. I get my management side to settle first. What do you think?

no point making a statement with police la...
Have you got any proofof evidence of him/her intimidating and/or threatening you?
If yes, go ahead and make a statement, else suck thumb...
There are many things (esp in your daily working life) which you can do to gather proof of evidence...
I believe due to work stress lor.
If really does affect you, just my opinion... Get back at him/her real hard (if you know what I mean) (fighting for survival is very common nowadays esp in stupid office warfare). You can't stop once it's started, just fyi.
To me forgive and forget is the best, unless my life and/or my family is at stake. he is not the one paying you your salary anyway.
Fighting never ends...so I never like...
