Errr... no lah... My shop is not at Adelphi. Cannot afford the rent there given that its a 'fun' business for me and my partner. But having said that, we are pretty committed and have been fortunate even to be around for 5 years. Gosh... that's a long time from when I started from one of my bedroom. Anyway... it's still fun for us... I think that's the key.
I've always been a music lover (in the very first place), but just also happen to be an audiophile (which I think is an ugly word) in the second. If we need a solid, solid expensive hifi system to enjoy our music, then I think we are missing the point.
Good music can be appreciated via all mediums... live performance, MP3 players, radio, etc. And hifi is just one of the mediums where IMHO, we can appreciate it even more. But then again, it does NOT mean it has to be expensive. We all have to live within our means... so the point is getting the best for the buck regardless if its $500 or $50,000. IMHO, the level of appreciation of music has no direct correlation with cost of hifi system.
Anyway... enough of talking c**k.
I'm actually ok to use my shop for a "Music Lovers' Session" if you guys like the idea. I've done that for other forums also. So it's just pure fun...
So when is a good time? Options are:
1) Sunday afternoon
2) Friday evening
Just make sure you bring your fav music. CDs, harddrive or thumbdrive also can... but sorry... no turntable in the shop.
