Compact digital camera

Hi guys,

I'm looking to get a new digital camera, don't do have any brand preference, and I'm not an avid photographer. Just want something user friendly, easy to use and able to take nice sharp pics for an upcoming holiday trip. Any pro/hobbyist photographer out there to help recommend me a gd one? Budget wise I'm thinking of around $600..thanks

Nikon J1 is not bad. Fast focusing, good picture/video quality, auto/full manual control... You may still able to get brand new from HWZ or Clubsnap below $500, standard kit (body + 10-30mm lens).

I actually won this in a competition, August Man Magazine A-Listers 2012. So, they gave us Canon G1X. But, unfortunately, I have something similar, and would like to let it go. Let me know if you are interested.

S95 is old... since then have has S100 and now S110.
XZ1 also old now has XZ2.
