PP, AP and VC are the holy trinity among watch purists.
most brands really cannot touch them, esp in the high end complication segment

IMHO, (excluding selective independents) PP, AP, VC & Lange are certainly in the top tier of watch hierarchy

But I know majority will feel more for PP than VC..

A PP is a piece I hope to own eventually.... VC designs not my cupa

PP, AP and VC are like the 3 kings of watches in regards to tradition and such. Although Lange has reached certain heights of recognition with the elite, most would not consider them in the same esteem as of current.

But like with all watches, buy what speaks to you Do remember that people who buy VC and PP are often very proud of the detailed workmanship. Rolex is a brand not sold on that pretext.

I'm really curious...when I was barely 10-12 years old...I remember AP & GP were great watch names...even when I didn't know how to spell them in full (I'm still not sure now , but at least nowadays can check quite easily).

What happened to GP (Girard Perregaux)??? Saw some pre-owned pieces in P*ss**ns website...value like quite far from AP
